Nepal logs 112 new Covid-19 cases
According to the Health Ministry, the countrywide death toll has now reached 11,949 and the number of active cases stands at 5,340.Post Report
Nepal on Thursday reported 77 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 977,786.
Similarly, 35 people tested positive in a total of 2,527 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.
As of Thursday, 5,469,595 PCR and 1,087,844 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 6,801 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.
The country reported no Covid-19 related death in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry. The countrywide death toll has reached 11,949 since the pandemic began.
According to the ministry, 960,497 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 429 of them in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases stands at 5,340.
Kathmandu Valley recorded 32 new infections in the past 24 hours. Of these, 21 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu, seven in Lalitpur and four in Bhaktapur.
In the past 24 hours, 10 new infections were recorded in Province 1, nine in Madhesh Pradesh, 40 in Bagmati, eight in Gandaki, nine in Lumbini, and one in Sudurpaschim.
According to the data released by the ministry, eight districts are home to more than 200 active cases each.
On Thursday, 34 individuals infected with the virus were being treated in intensive care units across the country. Another five-four in Bagmati province and one in Province 1, were on ventilator support.
Nepal on Wednesday reported 68 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases. Similarly, 74 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases and one death was reported on Tuesday and 66 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases and one death was reported on Monday.
