Nepal logs 65 new Covid-19 cases
According to the Health Ministry, 961,070 infected people have recovered from the disease so far and the number of active cases stands at 4,917.Post Report
Nepal on Sunday reported 59 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 977,937.
Similarly, six people tested positive in a total of 1,641 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.
As of Sunday, 5,483,746 PCR and 1,094,683 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 6,306 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.
The country did not report any Covid-19 related death in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry. The countrywide death toll has reached 11,950 since the pandemic began.
According to the ministry, 961,070 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 192 of them in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases stands at 4,917.
Kathmandu Valley recorded 27 new infections in the past 24 hours. Of these, 24 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu and three in Lalitpur.
In the past 24 hours, eight new infections were recorded in Province 1, four in Madhesh Pradesh, 31 in Bagmati, five in Gandaki, seven in Lumbini, one in Karnali and three in Sudurpaschim.
According to the data released by the ministry, six districts are home to more than 200 active cases each.
On Sunday, 35 individuals infected with the virus were being treated in intensive care units across the country. Another six- one in Province 1 and five in Bagmati, were on ventilator support.
Nepal on Saturday reported 30 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases. Similarly, 62 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases and one death was confirmed on Saturday and 77 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases were reported on Thursday.
