Nepal logs 73 new Covid-19 cases
According to the Health Ministry, 960,878 infected people have recovered from the disease so far and the number of active cases stands at 5,050.Post Report
Nepal on Saturday reported 30 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 977,878.
Similarly, 43 people tested positive in a total of 2,824 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.
As of Saturday, 5,477,440 PCR and 1,093,042 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 2,238 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.
The country did not report any Covid-19 related death in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry. The countrywide death toll has reached 11,950 since the pandemic began.
According to the ministry, 960,878 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 192 of them in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases stands at 5,050.
Kathmandu Valley recorded 17 new infections in the past 24 hours. Of these, 12 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu, three in Lalitpur and two in Bhaktapur.
In the past 24 hours, three new infections were recorded in Province 1, two in Madhesh Pradesh, 21 in Bagmati, two each in Gandaki and Lumbini.
According to the data released by the ministry, seven districts are home to more than 200 active cases each.
On Saturday, 40 individuals infected with the virus were being treated in intensive care units across the country. Another six-five in Bagmati province and one in Province 1, were on ventilator support.
Nepal on Friday reported 62 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases and one death. Similarly, 77 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases were reported on Thursday and 68 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases were recorded on Wednesday.
