Nepal reports 251 new Covid-19 cases, one death
According to the Health Ministry, the countrywide death toll has now reached 11,586 and the number of active cases stands at 4,931.Post Report
Nepal on Monday reported 251 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 827,522.
Similarly, 20 people tested positive in a total of 1,729 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.
As of Monday, 4,829,687 PCR and 805,511 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 9,157 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.
In its regular situation report, the ministry did not mention the death toll over the past 24 hours. It, however, reported one Covid-19-related fatality.
The countrywide death toll has now reached 11,586. The number of active cases stands at 4,931.
According to the ministry, 811,005 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 225 of them in the last 24 hours.
Kathmandu Valley recorded 165 new infections in the past 24 hours. Of these, 132 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu, 19 in Lalitpur and 14 in Bhaktapur.
In the past 24 hours, 15 new infections were recorded in Province 1, two in Province 2, 180 in Bagmati, 22 in Gandaki, 16 in Lumbini, one in Karnali and 15 in Sudurpaschim.
On Monday, 78 individuals infected with the virus were being treated in intensive care units across the country. Another 23—five in Province 1, 17 in Bagmati and one in Sudurpaschim—were on ventilator support.
Nepal on Sunday reported 213 new coronavirus cases and two deaths. Similarly, 157 new coronavirus cases and one death were reported on Saturday and 237 new coronavirus cases and one death were reported on Friday.
