Nepal reports 213 new Covid-19 cases, two deaths
According to the Health Ministry, the countrywide death toll has now reached 11,585 and the number of active cases stands at 4,906.Post Report
Nepal on Sunday reported 213 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 827,271.
Similarly, six people tested positive in a total of 2,497 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.
As of Sunday, 4,820,530 PCR and 803,782 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 7,180 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.
In its regular situation report, the ministry did not mention the death toll over the past 24 hours. It, however, reported two Covid-19-related fatalities.
The countrywide death toll has now reached 11,585. The number of active cases stands at 4,906.
According to the ministry, 810,780 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 283 of them in the last 24 hours.
Kathmandu Valley recorded 113 new infections in the past 24 hours. Of these, 77 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu, 28 in Lalitpur and eight in Bhaktapur.
In the past 24 hours, 28 new infections were recorded in Province 1, 15 in Province 2, 126 in Bagmati, 25 in Gandaki, 14 in Lumbini, two in Karnali and three in Sudurpaschim.
On Sunday, 75 individuals infected with the virus were being treated in intensive care units across the country. Another 24—six in Province 1, 16 in Bagmati and one each in Lumbini and Sudurpaschim—were on ventilator support.
Nepal on Saturday reported 157 new coronavirus cases and one death. Similarly, 237 new coronavirus cases and one death were reported on Friday and 241 new coronavirus cases and two deaths were reported on Thursday.
