Nepal reports 200 new Covid-19 cases, one death
According to the Health Ministry, the countrywide death toll has now reached 11,541 and the number of active cases stands at 6,507.Post Report
Nepal on Sunday reported 200 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 822,592.
Similarly, five people tested positive in a total of 2,752 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.
As of Sunday, 4,662,680 PCR and 742,204 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 7,995 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.
In its regular situation report, the ministry did not mention the death toll over the past 24 hours. It, however, reported one Covid-19-related fatality.
The countrywide death toll has now reached 11,541. The number of active cases stands at 6,507.
According to the ministry, 804,544 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 436 of them in the last 24 hours.
Kathmandu Valley recorded 103 new infections in the past 24 hours. Of these, 63 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu, 34 in Lalitpur and six in Bhaktapur.
In the past 24 hours, 22 new infections were recorded in Province 1, 11 in Province 2, 119 in Bagmati, 34 in Gandaki, 12 in Lumbini and two in Sudurpaschim.
On Sunday, 107 individuals infected with the virus were being treated in intensive care units across the country. Another 28—10 in Province 1, 15 in Bagmati, one in Lumbini and two in Sudurpaschim—were on ventilator support.
Nepal on Saturday reported 220 new coronavirus cases and five deaths. Similarly, 246 new coronavirus cases were reported on Friday and 298 new coronavirus cases and six deaths were recorded on Thursday.
