Nepal’s Covid-19 toll reaches 3,014 with two more death
With 60 new infections recorded in the past 24 hours, the active case count stands at 915, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.Post Report
Nepal on Saturday reported two more Covid-19 related fatalities, pushing the death toll to 3,014. The country also recorded 60 new cases.
The overall infection tally has reached 275,178 with 915 active cases.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 271,249 infected people have recovered from the disease so far, 72 of them in the past 24 hours.
Kathmandu Valley recorded 44 new infections in the past 24 hours. Of them, 30 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu and 14 in Lalitpur.
In the past 24 hours, 48 new infections were recorded in Bagmati Province, three in Gandaki, five in Lumbini, one each in Province 2 and Karnali and two in Sudurpaschim.
As of Saturday, 2,212,796 PCR tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 2,362 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the data released by the ministry.
Nepal had reported 48 new infections on Friday. Similarly, 97 infections were recorded in the country on Thursday and 104 on Wednesday.
