National Covid-19 tally reaches 274,973 with 104 new infections

Nepal did not record any Covid-19 related deaths in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Population said on Wednesday.
The country’s overall death toll due to the Covid-19 related complications stands at 3,012.
In the past 24 hours, the ministry said, the country recorded 104 new coronavirus infections, pushing the overall infection number to 274,973.
According to the ministry, 271,050 infected people have recovered from the disease so far, 63 of them in the past 24 hours.
The active case count stands at 911.
Kathmandu Valley recorded 45 new infections in the past 24 hours. Of them, 32 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu and 11 in Lalitpur and two in Bhaktapur.
In the past 24 hours, 56 new infections were recorded in Bagmati Province, 14 in Gandaki Province, 22 in Lumbini Province, nine each in Province 1 and two each in Sudurpaschim Province and Province 2.
As of Wednesday, 2,20,438 PCR tests have been carried out across the country. A total of 3,488 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the data released by the ministry.
Nepal recorded one Covid-19 fatality and 59 new coronavirus infections on Tuesday. Similarly, the country had recorded one Covid-19 related fatality and 89 new infections on Monday.
