Nepal’s Covid-19 toll reaches 3,011 with one more death
With 89 new infections recorded in the past 24 hours, the active case count stands at 872, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.Post Report
Nepal on Monday reported one more Covid-19 related fatality, pushing the death toll to 3,011. The country also recorded 89 new cases.
The overall infection tally has reached 274,810 with 872 active cases.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 270,927 infected people have recovered from the disease so far, 41 of them in the past 24 hours.
Kathmandu Valley recorded 57 new infections in the past 24 hours. Of them, 45 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu and six each in Bhaktapur and Lalitpur.
In the past 24 hours, 65 new infections were recorded in Bagmati Province, seven in Lumbini, six in Province 1, four in Province 2, three in Gandaki, and two each in Karnali and Sudurpaschim.
As of Monday, 2,197,235 PCR tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 4,399 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the data released by the ministry.
Nepal had reported 66 Covid-19 infections on Sunday, 47 on Saturday and 120 on Friday.
