National Covid-19 tally reaches 274,655 with 47 new infections

Nepal did not record any Covid-19 related deaths in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Population said on Friday.
The country’s overall death toll due to the Covid-19 related complications stands at 3,010.
In the past 24 hours, the ministry said, the country recorded 47 new coronavirus infections, pushing the overall infection number to 274,488.
According to the ministry, 270,828 infected people have recovered from the disease so far, 62 of them in the past 24 hours.
The active case count stands at 817.
Kathmandu Valley recorded 31 new infections in the past 24 hours. Of them, 28 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu and three in lalitpur. Bhaktapur did not report any cases today.
In the past 24 hours, 33 new infections were recorded in Bagmati Province, four in Gandaki Province, six in Lumbini Province, three in Province 1 and one in Sudurpaschim Province.
As of Saturday, 2,188,725 PCR tests have been carried out across the country. A total of 3,535 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the data released by the ministry.
Nepal had recorded 120 Covid-19 infections on Friday and 107 infections on Thursday.
On Wednesday, the country had reported 87 Covid-19 cases and 233 deaths, 232 of which had been unreported to the ministry before.
