National Covid-19 tally reaches 274,608 with 120 new infections

Nepal did not record any Covid-19 related deaths in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Population said on Friday.
The country’s overall death toll due to the Covid-19 related complications stands at 3,010.
In the past 24 hours, the ministry said, the country recorded 120 new coronavirus infections, pushing the overall infection number to 274,608.
According to the ministry, 270,766 infected people have recovered from the disease so far, 83 of them in the past 24 hours.
The active case count stands at 832.
Kathmandu Valley recorded 58 new infections in the past 24 hours. Of them, 46 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu, seven in Bhaktapur and five in Lalitpur.
In the past 24 hours, 67 new infections were recorded in Bagmati Province, 25 in Gandaki Province, 20 in Lumbini Province, four in Province 2, three in Province 1 and one in Sudurpaschim Province.
As of Friday, 2,185,190 PCR tests have been carried out across the country. A total of 6,143 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the data released by the ministry.
Nepal had recorded 107 Covid-19 infections on Thursday and 78 infections on Tuesday.
On Wednesday, the country had reported 87 Covid-19 cases and 233 deaths, 232 of which had been unreported to the ministry before.
