A pedestrian was killed in a road accident at Sabhapati Chowk, Kawasoti, in Nawalparasi district on Friday evening.
The deceased has been identified as 73-year-old Man Bahadur Sadasankar, a local resident of Kawasoti.
According to the police, the accident occurred when a passenger bus travelling from Delhi to Kathmandu hit Sadasankar as he was crossing the road near his home after disembarking from a bus from Narayangadh.
The police have impounded the bus involved in the accident, and further investigation is underway.
