An adult male rhino was found dead in Pipraharghat of Devchuli Municipality on Monday.

Pipraharghat is in the buffer zone of Chitwan National Park, the major habitat of one-horned rhinos.

According to Abinash Thapa Magar, information officer at the national park, preliminary investigation shows that the rhino of about 23 years of age died while fighting with another rhino.

A total of 13 rhinos died in Chitwan National Park and its surrounding areas over the past one year.
