Man hacks wife to death in Pokhara

A 42-year-old man from Bagaletol in Pokhara Metropolis-8 hacked his wife to death on Tuesday night.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Basant Kumar Sharma, Jahar Singh Kunwar, a permanent resident of Annapurna Rural Municipality-9, assaulted his wife Radhika Kunwar, aged 40, with a Khukuri following a family dispute.
The Kunwar’s landlord informed the police after he heard Radhika crying. The police detained the perpetrator and rushed the victim to hospital. The victim breathed her last while receiving treatment at Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences. Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences where she died in the course of treatment.
Detailed investigation is underway into the case, said police.
