A four-year-old boy died of snakebite in Sunwal Municipality-2 of Nawalparasi West on Thursday.

According to the District Police Office, Samuel Nepali died in the incident. A snake bit the boy while he was playing inside a room.

He was immediately rushed to Lumbini Provincial Hospital in Butwal where he passed away in the course of treatment.

Snakebite incidents are rife in Nawalparasi West and other Tarai districts with the onset of monsoon season.
