A pedestrian died after being hit by a scooter in Byas Municipality-1 of Tanahun district along the Prithvi Highway on Thursday night.

According to the Tanahun District Police Office, a scooter, the registration number of which is still unknown, was travelling from Ghansikuwa to Damauli when it collided with a woman in her 50s.

The woman breathed her last on the way to Damauli Hospital.

Police said the woman has not yet been identified, and they are conducting further investigations into the incident.
