Police have arrested a 55-year-old man from ward 6 of Sahid Lakhan Rural Municipality on the charge of raping a minor.

The suspect allegedly raped a 14-year-old girl on Friday.

Based on a complaint lodged by the victim’s mother, the security personnel detained the accused on Sunday.

 Detailed investigation is going on after the district court remanded him into custody on Monday, said police.
