A 33-year-old man murdered his wife at Birukharka in ward 6 of Hupsekot Rural Municipality on Saturday night.
According to the District Police Office in Nawalparasi East, Sher Bahadur Lamka Magar murdered his 34-year-old wife Chanisara with a hoe and a sickle. The victim, who was eight months pregnant, died on the spot.
“The cause of the murder is not immediately known. An investigation is underway after taking the suspect into custody,” said Deputy Superintendent of Police Bed Bahadur Paudel.
