16 injured in bus accident in Mustang

At least 16 people were injured in a passenger bus accident in Mustang on Wednesday.
According to Assistant Sub-Inspector Krishna Pokharel of the District Traffic Police Office, Mustang, the passenger bus veered off the road and fell into the Kaligandaki River along the Myagdi-Jomsom road section of the Kaligandaki corridor.
Pokharel informed that the bus was heading to Pokhara when the accident occurred at Dhampu in Thasang Rural Municipality-3 in the district.
Police Inspector Rajkumar Tamang, information officer at the District Police Office Mustang, said there were 17 people onboard the bus.
Tamang informed that the injured have been taken to the nearby Lete Hospital for treatment.
