Jawalakhel, Planning defeat Nepal Police, Sankata
Jawalakhel scored three past Nepal Police, while Planning put four past Sankata. Both the winners kept a clean sheet.Post Report
Jawalakhel Youth Club and Planning Boyz United registered dominating victories in their National League fixtures on Monday.
In the matches played at ANFA Complex, Jawalakhel defeated Nepal Police Club, and Planning Boyz United hammered Sankata FC.
Jawalakhel scored three past Nepal Police, while Planning put four past Sankata. Both the winners kept a clean sheet.
The first goal for Jawalakhel came in the 18th minute with Nicholas Odane Hamilton finding the back of the net. Ten minutes later, Yubraj Dhakal made it 2-0.
It would not have been a clean sheet for Jawalakhel had Bharat Shah not missed the penalty for Police in the 76th minute. A minute later after the miss, Bikash Darlami Magar made it 3-0 for Jawalakhel.
In the second match of Monday, Papa Ibou Kebe opened the account for Planning Boyz in the 19th minute. Shyamu Murmu doubled the lead in the 30th minute.
Sankata were able to prevent Planning from scoring further for most of the second half. However, Kebe scored his second individual goal of the match in the 82nd minute to make it 3-0.
Further, Kebe completed his hat-trick in the 90th minute as Planning concluded with 4-0. It was only the second hat-trick of the tournament in 52 matches. The first hat-trick was scored by Church Boys United’s Milan Rai in the 6-1 win over Nawa Jana Jagriti Yuwa Club on January 29.
Church Boys will play the first match of Tuesday against Tribhuvan Army FC at ANFA Complex. It will be followed by the match between Friends’ Club Kopundole and Chitlang FC.
