The Nepal Volleyball Association has announced 19 events for the 2026/27 season through an official function in Kathmandu on Monday.
Making the calendar public, the NVA assured that the upcoming season would be bigger and better for Nepali volleyball. Of the 19 events, two are courses—a national referee course and a coaching course.
Meanwhile, the dates have not been announced for 16 of the 19 events.
Among the tournaments with the dates announced is the Nepal Volleyball League, a franchise league organised by Kedia Group in association with the NVA, which will be organised next month.
Similarly, Nepal will travel to Bhutan in September for the CAVA Beach Volleyball Tour. Kathmandu will host the CAVA Women’s Champions League from November 1 to 7.
The NVA plans to organise the 35th National Men’s and 25th National Women’s Volleyball Championship in Surkhet. It is the only domestic tournament confirmed to be organised outside Kathmandu.
As per the calendar, the NVA also seems to be planning to organise the 11th PM Cup NVA Volleyball League, the 7th Women’s and 8th Men’s National Beach Volleyball, a friendly volleyball tournament and the U18 Inter School Volleyball Tournament outside Kathmandu, as the venues were not disclosed.
Kathmandu, meanwhile, will also host the U19 Women’s and Men’s National Volleyball, Everest Women’s Volleyball League (EWVL) and CAVA Challenge Cup (Men’s).
Nepal’s women’s team will also be travelling to Japan for the 20th Asian Games in September, followed by another CAVA Beach Volleyball Tour in the Maldives.
The NVA has also announced a three-nations cup in Kathmandu, but the date and the participants are yet to be finalised.
“The dates have not been confirmed for most of the tournaments to make it feasible for other mofussil events as well,” said Jitendra Bahadur Chand, NVA President. “But these events have been confirmed and will be hosted in a timely manner.”
