The Nepali women’s football team will face Iran before the friendly against India, the All Nepal Football Association revealed on Tuesday.
Nepal and India are slated for a friendly in Shillong on October 27 during the FIFA International Window. But before that, Nepal will also face Iran at the same venue on October 24.
“Nepal will now face Iran on October 24, followed by a match against India on October 27. Both matches will be played in Shillong, India,” the ANFA posted on its social media.
The two friendlies are expected to be a major boost to Nepal as both teams are higher-ranked. India ranks 63rd while Iran are 70th in the FIFA Women’s World Ranking. Nepal, on the other hand, are 89th.
