All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has named Yam Gurung as the head coach of the Under-20 national women’s football team, who are preparing to participate in the SAFF championship scheduled to take place in Dhaka from February 3-9 next year.
ANFA also appointed Sandesh Shrestha as assistant coach and Srikrishna Baidhya as the goalkeeping coach.
Nepal women begin their SAFF Under-20 Women’s Championship against the hosts on February 3 at the Bir Shrestha Shaheed Shipahi Mustofa Kamal (BSSMK) Stadium. They will next take on Bhutan on February 5, before facing the test from India in their final group match on February 7.
The top two teams at the end of the single round-robin league will lock horns in the February 9 final.
