Three new teams have been added in the second edition of the franchise football tournament Nepal Super League (NSL) set to be played from April 9 to May 29. 

With the new addition, the event will have 10 teams. Jhapa FC owned by Bikram Thapa; Sporting Ilam De Mechi owned by Suhang Nembang and Piyush Neupane; and Birgunj United FC belonging to Arbindra Amatya and Arbind Baral; are the new franchises, revealed the NSL organisers Nepal Sports and Event Management (NSEM) Pvt Ltd at a press conference on Sunday. 

According to NSEM, they were planning to organise the tournament at Pokhara Stadium and Dasharath Stadium unlike the last edition when the tournament was played only in Kathmandu. 

Kathmandu Rayzrs are the defending champions.
