Dhangadhi FC sign midfielder Rai as marquee player
Dhangadi FC is one of the seven franchises of the league to be organised by Nepal Sports and Event Management under the technical support of the football governing body All Nepal Football Association.

Dhangadhi FC has enrolled Nepali international midfielder Bishal Rai as their marquee player for Nepal Premier League, the first-ever franchise football tournament set to be held from April 24 to May 8 at the Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwor.
Subash B Shahi, the owner of Dhangadhi FC of Go Dreamers Pvt Ltd, and Rai on Monday inked the deal for the two-week tournament.
The wages of the 28-year-old midfielder were not disclosed during the signing ceremony. Rai has netted three international goals for the country. He also played an influential role for Machhindra Club's run to the Martyrs Memorial 'A' Division League title last season.
"I joined Dhangadhi FC because I liked their plans. They have set the target to win the league," Rai said. "They have also assured me of building a strong team. However, the outcome of the game also depends upon how effective the foreigner players are.”
Shahi said that Dhangadhi FC would represent the entire Sudur Paschim Province. The club has already started the process to enrol other players and coaches, he added.

The players' auction will take place on March 19 after listing them under four categories. Each team will have 20 players. One team can recruit three overseas players and field two at a time.
