Shree Bhagawati, Shree Kumari sign off with victories

Shree Bhagawati and Shree Kumari clubs signed off their Martyrs Memorial 'B' Division League football campaign with victories at the ANFA Complex, Satdobato, on Tuesday.
While Bhagawati registered a 2-1 win over Boys Union Club Kumari thrashed Tushal Youth Club 4-0.
With the victory, Bhagawati and Kumari both climbed four places to fifth and sixth place respectively finishing with 15 and 14 points. However, they can drop in the standings if Ranipokhari Corner Team, Madhyapur Youth Association or Nayabasti Youth Club win their last fixtures.
Boys Union finished fourth with 17 points on the table while Tushal finished 10th with nine points in the 12-team contest. The side finishing at the bottom of the standings will be relegated after the completion of the tournament. Satdobato Youth Club have already been crowned champions while either Jhamsikhel Youth Club or Pulchowk Youth Club will be relegated to 'C' division, depending on the outcome of their next matches.
In the kick off match, Nawaraj Gurung put Shree Bhagawati ahead against Boys Union Club with a controlled finish in the 40th minute. He held onto Aron Thapa’s pass inside the area and beat goalie Sachin Shrestha to break the deadlock.
Tanka Bahadur Singdan restored parity for Boys Union in the 63rd with a stunning semi-volley from the edge of the area. Shree Bhagawati substitute Prajjwal Thapa Magar scored the decisive in the 67th collecting a through pass from Aron Thapa.
In another match, Ashish Rai scored twice in Shree Kumari's win over Tushal. Captain Santosh Kumar Singh opened accounts in the 11the minute before Bibek Pun doubled the advantage. Rai netted the third in the 45th minute as Shree Kumari went into the break with 3-0 cushion. Rai sealed the victory with his second individual goal in the 67th minute.
