Nepal head coach Johan Kalin on Friday announced a 23-member squad for a friendly match against the Malaysian Super League Champion Johor Darul Ta’ Zim FC.
The August 26 match at the Pasar Gudang Stadium in Johar City is part of Nepal's preparation for the upcoming FIFA World Cup Preliminary Competition/AFC Asian Cup China 2023 Qualifiers. Nepal are scheduled to play Kuwait on September and Taiwan on September 10.
The squad includes three goalkeepers Bikesh Kuthu, Alan Neupane and Bishal Shrestha and seven defenders Saroj Dahal, Ajit Bhandari, Dinesh Rajbanshi, Ananta Tamang, Devendra Tamang, Rajeen Dhimal, Suman Aryal. Sunil Bal, Ravi Paswan, Anjan Bista, Sujal Shrestha, , Heman Gurung, Bikram Lama, Tej Tamang, Santosh Tamang and Bishal Rai are the midfielders while Bimal Gharti Magar, Bimal Rana, Abishek Rijal and Nawayug Shrestha are the strikers.
