20 players to train in National Cricket Academy, Bangalore

The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) on Friday revealed the 20 players who will visit the Bangalore-based National Cricket Academy for a two-week training camp from July 21 to August 3.
According to CAN, the training is supported by the Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) in coordination with the Indian Embassy in Nepal.
The 20 players, selected from a pool of 32 currently in a closed camp under head coach Stuart Law, are set to train at one of India’s most prestigious cricketing institutions.
Law will be travelling with the squad that will have skipper Rohit Kumar Paudel, Kushal Bhurtel, the Sheikh brothers—Aasif and Aarif, Lokesh Bam, Anil Kumar Sah, Bhim Sharki, Dipendra Singh Airee, Kushal Malla and Rupesh Kumar Singh.
Also named in the travelling group are Bibek Kumar Yadav, Rijan Dhakal, Pratish GC, Nandan Yadav, Yuvraj Khatri, Shahab Alam, Sundeep Jora, Sagar Dhakal, Aakash Chand and Shubh Kansakar.
Meanwhile, the list suggests that some of Nepal’s experienced players will stay in Nepal and train with assistant coach Gyanendra Malla. Sompal Kami, Karan KC, Gulshan Jha, Basir Ahmed, Lalit Narayan Rajbanshi, Kamal Singh Airee, Kiran Thagunna, Sandeep Lamichhanne, Pawan Sarraf, Aadil Ansari, Sher Malla and Arjun Gharti will be training in Nepal.
This marks the second time Nepal’s national cricketers will train at the NCA, the first being in August last year.
Founded in 2000 and operated by the BCCI, the NCA has played a central role in shaping Indian cricket. It features an esteemed panel of coaches, including VVS Laxman and Roger Binny, and has served as a training ground for some of India’s top cricketers, including Virat Kohli, Gautam Gambhir, Rohit Sharma, Yuvraj Singh, Zaheer Khan, Suresh Raina, Shikhar Dhawan, Cheteshwar Pujara, and KL Rahul.
According to CAN, the training camp will be beneficial for the squad as they prepare for the East Asia-Pacific and Asia World Cup Qualifiers in Oman in October. The Rhinos face Kuwait and Japan in the group stage.
