Nepal exit women’s ACC U-19 Cup after defeat to Bangladesh

Nepal have been eliminated from the Women’s ACC U-19 Cup after suffering a nine-wicket defeat to Bangladesh in the Super-4 stage on Friday. The loss dashed Nepal's hopes of reaching the final.
Bangladesh comfortably chased Nepal’s modest target of 55 runs in the slated 11 overs, achieving it in just 9.5 overs while losing only one wicket. Fahomida Choya led Bangladesh’s charge with an unbeaten 26 runs, supported by Mosammat Eva (18 runs) and Sumaiya Akhter Suborna (10 runs). Kusum Godar was the sole wicket-taker for Nepal.
The match, played at the Bayuemas Oval in Malaysia, was reduced to 11 overs per side due to rain. Nepal, batting first after losing the toss, managed to score only 54 runs for the loss of eight wickets in their allotted overs.
Nepal’s opener, Sabitri Dhami, was the top scorer with 11 runs, while captain Puja Mahato and Elisha Yadav contributed nine and eight runs, respectively.
With this victory, Bangladesh secured a spot in the final, finishing the Super-4 stage with six points. India, with seven points, advanced to the final.
