Electing to bat first after winning the toss, Afghanistan had a bleak start as they lost wickets in quick succession.

Hassan Eisakhil smashed four hits to the fences, putting up 20 runs on the scoreboard in his 35-knock play. He was caught by Dipak Bohara off Chand in 11.3 overs.
Allah Mohammad muscled four boundaries and three sixes as he scored 37 runs, highest of the innings. Mohammad faced 21 deliveries before being caught by Subash Bhandari off Tilak Bhandari in 17.3 overs.
Likewise, Captain Nasir Khan Maroofkhil also managed to put up 31 runs. He smashed three hits to the fences, facing 83 deliveries. Maroofkhil was bowled and caught by Dipesh Kandel in 37.4 overs.
Tailender Faridoon Daw0odzai also smashed four boundaries as he contributed a 65-ball 29.
None of the other Afghani batters scored in double digits.
For Nepal, Chand collected five Afghani scalps while Dipesh Kandel also dismissed two batters. Gulshan Jha, Subash Bhandari and Tilak Bhandari also grabbed a wicket apiece.
Nepal have yet to register a victory in the ongoing tournament.
Earlier on Wednesday, Nepal succumbed to a five-wicket defeat to Pakistan. Nepal had lost their opening match to New Zealand by 64 runs—their first World Cup defeat against the Kiwi’s U-19 side—on Sunday and were under pressure to deliver at the Buffalo Park.
