Nepal posted a 198-run target for Pakistan in their second match of the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup on Wednesday.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, Nepal lost opener Arjun Kumal for six runs in 4.2 overs of the match being played at East London, South Africa.
Opener Bipin Rawal was the only stand-out batter for Nepal, scoring 39 runs in his 68-ball knock that featured four boundaries and a six. Rawal was caught by Ali Asfand off a delivery by Arafat Minhas in 26.4 overs.
Aakash Tripathi was out for six runs as skipper Dev Khanal made 23 runs. Gulsan Jha (18), Deepak Dumre (26) and Subash Bhandari (20) helped the young Rhinos put 197 runs on board losing all wickets in the stipulated 50 overs.
Arafat Minhas was the pick of Pakistan bowling with figures of 3-23 but he also received support from Ubaid Shah (2-48) and Ahmed Hussain (2-12).
Nepal made a disappointing start to their World Cup campaign as they suffered a 64-run defeat against New Zealand in their opening match of the Group D on Sunday.
Nepal will wrap up their group stage against the other South Asian team Afghanistan on Friday.
