Nepal post meagre 57-run target against Hong Kong

Nepal have posted a lowly target of 57 runs against hosts Hong Kong in the ongoing Hong Kong T20I Quadrangular Series being held at the Hong Kong Cricket Club on Thursday.
Opting to bat first after winning the toss, visiting Nepal came up with a poor show in batting after they were bundled for 56 runs in 18 overs.
Opener Puja Mahato was run out in 1.4 overs for a low 8-ball 4, while her opening partner Sita Rana Magar fired two fours to put 9 runs off 13 deliveries on the scoreboard.
Similarly, Samjhana Khadka was stumped by Hiu Ying Cheung in 2.3 overs for just one run while Kajal Shrestha and Captain Indu Barma were both dismissed for ducks.
Rubina Chhetry smashed four hits to the fences as she contributed 25 runs, highest of the innings, facing 30 deliveries. She was dismissed by Ruchitha Venkatesh in 13.3 overs.
Likewise, Roma Thapa contributed an unbeaten 7 in her 19-knock play.
For Hong Kong, Iqra Sahar grabbed three wickets, while Ruchitha Venkatesh also collected two Nepali scalps. Betty Chan, Mariko Hill, and Kary Chan also managed to take a wicket a piece.
