UAE post 141-run target against Nepal

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) have posted a 141-run target against Nepal in the ongoing Nepal Tri-Nation Twenty20 International Series being held at the Mulpani Cricket Ground on Wednesday.
Sent to bat first after losing the toss, Basil Hameed cracked a half-century as the visitors scored 140 runs, losing seven wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.
UAE were off to a bleak start as they lost opener Khalid Shah for a duck. Shah was facing his sixth delivery when he was caught by Nepal’s Rohit Paudel off Sompal Kami.
Alishan Sharafu was next to go as he was caught by Aasif Sheikh off Karan KC in 3.1 overs. The right-handed batter contributed six runs off seven balls.
Similarly, Captain Muhammad Wassem managed to smash a boundary and a six each putting an 18-ball 17 on the scoreboard. He was caught by Kushal Bhurtel off Gulsan Jha in 6.1 overs. Asif Khan also smashed two hits to the fences as he scored 15 runs off of his 12-knock play before he was caught by Sundeep Jora in 8.4 overs.
Likewise, Ali Naseer smashed three boundaries and a six as he scored a 30-ball 32. He was caught by Nepal captain Paudel off KC in 16.1 overs.
Hameed top-scored for the visitors, putting up 51 runs while facing 38 deliveries. He smashed four sixes before being caught by Aasif Sheikh in 19.1 overs.
For the Rhinos, Karan KC grabbed three wickets while Gulsan Jha also managed to dismiss two batters. Sompal Kami and Abinash Bohara also took a wicket apiece.
