West Indies set 340 runs target for Nepal

Shai Hope and Nicholas Pooran scored centuries as West Indies set a massive target of 340 runs for Nepal in the ongoing ICC World Cup Qualifiers being held at the Harare Sports Club in Zimbabwe on Thursday.
Invited to bat first, West Indies started off weak, being held at 30 for 2 at the end of 10 overs.
Opener Kyle Mayers was dismissed for a measly 4-ball 1 in 1.3 overs while Johnson Charles, who came in at number three, was also sent back for a duck after being caught by Aasif Sheikh off Gulshan Jha in 4.2 overs.
West Indies opener Brandon King managed 31 runs in his 42-knock play, smashing two boundaries and two sixes, before being dismissed by Sandeep Lamichhane in 15.3 overs.
Captain Hope brought some much-needed relief to the West Indies side, scoring a 129-ball 132, helping them put up 339 runs, losing seven wickets in the stipulated 50 overs.
Hope lost his wicket in 49.2 overs after being caught by Bhim Sharki off Lalit Rajbanshi.
Similarly, Nicholas Pooran also smashed four hits to the fence and 10 sixes to score 115 runs facing 94 deliveries. Pooran was bowled and caught by Dipendra Singh Airee in 43.6 overs.
Rovman Powell managed to put up 29 runs on the scoreboard in his 14-ball play. The right-handed batter smashed three boundaries and a six, before being caught by Jha off Rajbanshi in 47.1 overs.
Likewise, Jason Holder smashed two hits to the fences, scoring an unbeaten 10-ball 16 while Keemo Paul was bowled out by Rajbanshi while facing his second delivery.
For the Rhinos, Rajbanshi grabbed three wickets while Jha, Lamichhane, Airee, and Karan KC also managed to pick one wicket apiece.
