USA post 208 runs target against Nepal

The United States of America have posted a target of 208 runs against Nepal in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifiers being held at the Takashinga Sports Club in Harare, Zimbabwe on Tuesday.
Sent to bat first, Wicketkeeper Shayan Jahangir scored an unbeaten century, smashing three sixes and 10 boundaries, helping the Americans put up 207 runs in the stipulated 50 overs.
The USA were off to a bleak start, losing early wickets in quick succession. Opener Steven Taylor was trapped leg before in 1.5 overs by Nepal’s Karan KC.
KC, a right-arm fast bowler, managed to grab four wickets, holding the USA at 18-4.
Captain Aaron Jones managed to score a measly 2 runs after playing 22 deliveries before being caught by Kushal Bhurtel off KC in 7.5 overs. Similarly, Nosthush Kenjige and Saiteja Mukkamalla also failed last on the pitch for long.
Kenjige and Mukkamalla were both caught by Aarif Sheikh off KC.
Opener Sushant Modani smashed three hits to the fence and a six to put up 42 runs in his 71-knock play. He was bowled out by Lalit Rajbanshi in 27.4 overs.
Likewise, Gajanand Singh managed to score 26 runs, facing 41 deliveries before being caught by Sheikh off Dipendra Singh Airee.
Jasdeep Singh managed a 25-ball 12, while other batters failed to score in double digits.
Apart from KC, Gulshan Jha claimed three American scalps while Airee also grabbed two wickets.
Rajbanshi also managed to take a wicket in his 10-over spell.
