Nepal restrict UAE to 207 runs

The United Arab Emirates have set 208 runs target for Nepal in the ongoing United Arab Emirates Triangular Series of the ICC World Cup League 2 on Thursday.
Opting to ball first after winning the toss, Nepal restricted the hosts to 207-8 in the stipulated 50 overs at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Asif Khan top-scored at 72 runs off 99 balls before being caught by Nepal’s Karan KC.
Khan was followed by Rohan Mustafa, who scored an unbeaten 52 runs off 76 balls, smashing two boundaries.
Aryan Lakra scored 28 runs off 36 balls while CP Rizwan managed a 40-ball 22. Lakra was bowled out by Sandeep Lamichhane while captain Rizwan was caught by Dipendra Singh Airee in 24.4 overs.
Opener Muhammad Waseem, Junaid Siddique and Palaniapan Meiyappan failed to score any points, retiring at duck.
Spinner Lamichhane grabbed three wickets in his 10-over spell, giving away a meagre 27 runs.
Similarly, Karan KC, Aarif Sheikh, and Kushal Malla took a wicket apiece.
Nepal have won all five of their previous league-2 matches, setting a historic win streak. Nepal picked their fifth win against Papua New Guinea on Monday.
