Kami’s Hawks secure a playoff berth in Global T20 Canada

Winnipeg Hawks, the team the Nepali pace spearhead plays for in the Global Twenty20 Canada franchise league, secured a place in the playoffs after their match against Vancouver Knights on Wednesday was called off due to wet outfield caused by overnight rain.
Hawks completed their preliminary round matches with five points from six matches and currently hold the third place. Montreal Tigers also have five points but are in fourth position due to net run-rate ahead of their sixth and final match against Toronto Nationals later tonight. Only one of the two teams—either Tigers or Nationals—can pip Hawks to third position. Nepali leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane represents Nationals.
In his only match at the Global Twenty20, Kamihad a disappointing debut for the Hawks. He conceded 33 runs in two overswithout any success on August 3 at the CAA Centre in Brampton. Brampton Wolvesand Vancouver Knights secured the top two places, meaning they will fight itout for a place in final on Thursday. As the winners of the match advance tothe final, the losers will still have a second chance to make it to the final.The will play against the winners of the second Qualifier match between third,currently occupied by Hawks, and fourth placed teams.
