Actor Manisha Koirala has bagged the much coveted Dadasaheb Phalke Award. She was honoured with the special Phalke Brave and Beautiful award at the ceremony.

Koirala, who recently had made a comeback to silver screens with 'Dear Maya', took to Twitter where she shared a video link of her receiving the award.

The bollywood actor during the award ceremony while talking about her diagnosis of ovarian cancer, said 'crisis taught me the value of life'.

Koirala was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2012 and received extensive treatment and chemotherapy at a New York-based hospital and is today a cancer survivor.

She has been spreading awareness about the disease and lending support to the needy as she herself beat the deadly cancer.
