On Saturday, litterateur and theatre director, Shyam Das Vaishnav, and singer and musician, Yogesh Vaidya received Pratisthan’s lifetime award, while singer Kiran Kharel and media person Prachanda Man Singh Pradhan were also honoured during an award ceremony organised in the Capital.
The Pratisthan Award came with a cash purse of NRs 25,000. Vaishnav and Kharel received the awards for the Nepali year 2072 and Vaidya and Pradhan received the awards for 2073 BS.
The Pratisthan, which has been honoring individuals dedicated to the arts since 2009, was established in recognition of the lifelong theatre work of Hari Prasad Rimal, and his wife Kalyani Rimal’s contribution to the media.
