Theatre Village’s Malini to travel to Europe
Artists from the Theatre Village are travelling to Europe on Tuesday for a three-week long theatre tour. According to the theatre, the artists will stage the play Malini: The Princess of Garden, directed by Bimal Subedi, in various cities in Germany and Belgium over the course of the tour.Artists from the Theatre Village are travelling to Europe on Tuesday for a three-week long theatre tour. The play Malini, originally written by popular Indian literary figure Rabindranath Tagore, tells the story of a young Hindu princess who abandons the religion of her forefathers to take refuge in Buddhism. Theatre Village had previously staged the play at Pakistan’s National Academy of Performance Arts, as well as in various locations at India.
The artists who will be taking part in this tour include Rajendra Shrestha, Sujan Oli, Nawaraj Parajuli, Dipesh Rai, Jeni Subedi, Dilip Ranabhat and Bipul Pandey. The artists will also take part in various workshops and trainings during the tour.
