Twenty-one year old Sadikshya Pandey has been crowned the new Miss Pokhara. Pandey topped 10 final contestants to win the coveted title at the grand finale held at the Pokhara Sabhagriha on Monday evening. Pandey also bagged awards for Miss Voice Choice and Miss Popularity.

Meanwhile, Prashmi Thapa bagged the First runner-up title while Unnati Gurung won the award for second runner-up.

This is the eighth iteration of the Miss Pokhara pageant. The event his year was organised by Pokhara Jaycees and was sponsored by Gionee mobile.

Along with the crown, the new Miss Pokhara Pandey also bagged a cash purse of Rs 50, 000 along with a Dio scooter; similarly, Thapa and Gurung won a cash purse of Rs 30,000 and 20,000 and a Gionee phone each.

Likewise, Manila Hirachan won awards for three subtitles—Miss Personality, Best Dress and Miss Junction Popularity; Shreetika Gurung was declared Miss Catwalk and Miss Photogenic; Bimala Gurung won Miss Talent; and Anjana Ramdam was won the Miss Best Smile subtitle.

Miss Pokhara was first initiated in 1995. The pageant went on a hiatus since 1999 and was resumed in 2013.
