Folk band Nepathya are currently gearing up for a three-city tour around the world. Meanwhile, the band’s latest single Ho Rama Rama has been released via YouTube on September 11. The song is the band’s second single from their 10th studio album.

Although first released this week, Nepathya have been performing the song in their concerts for a few years.

“We have tested the song in all places, in Nepal and abroad, and now we are releasing it to the world,” said Kiran Krishna Shrestha, of nepalaya, the promoters of Nepathya. “We have incorporated the visual of the audience taken in all these places to show how the audience adds energy to a show and the ambience.”

The band recently completed the recording of their forthcoming album; though the band have planned to release the songs as singles rather than an album as a whole.  Ho Rama Rama was composed by the band about a decade ago. The song, with its light-hearted lyrics, features folksy overtones borrowed from Ghatu and Sorathi folk melodies.

The band is set to perform in three cities—Seoul, New York and San Francisco—over the coming weeks and once back home they will be gearing up to release their third single off the new album.
