Nominations for the eleventh iteration of Kalika FM Music Awards have been announced, and the awards function is scheduled to be held on October 13.

The awards will be provided for musicians from various genres under 26 different categories.

Nominated for the Best Modern Singer (male) are Swarup Raj Acharya, Pramod Kharel, Hemanta Sharma, Yuvaraj Chaulagain and Narendra Pyasi, while singers like Milan Amatya, Babita Manandhar, Devika Bandana, Merina Rai and Rajina Rai have been nominated for the Best Modern Singer  (female).

Similarly, musicians Suresh Adhikari, Arjun Pokharel, Rajkumar Bagar, Santosh KC and Hari Lamsal have been nominated for the Best Music Composer.

Also nominated under various categories are artists Rajesh Payal Rai, Kamal Chhetri, Samriddhi Rai, Indira Joshi, Rupak Dotel and Shreya Sotang, among others.

On the occasion, the organisers have decided to provide a Lifetime Achievement Award to senior musician Amber Gurung.

Chitwan-based Kalika FM has been organising the yearly award function since 2004.
