Sarubhakta’s Bangatinga Dharsaharu out
Writer Sarubhakta’s latest work, Bangatinga Dharsaharu, was released yesterday by FinePrint. The book is an anthology of 30 memoirs that the writer had written in different periods of his liSarubhakta is one of the most celebrated living writers in Nepali literature. He won the Madan Puraskar for his novel Pagalbasti, which was published in 1991. He has published over three dozen books and has tried his hands on genres like ghazal, poetry, memoir, essay, play, short story to novel. The writer is currently the chancellor of Nepal Music and Drama Academy.
In Bangatinga Dharsaharu, Sarubhakta takes the readers down the memory lane of his writing career. In one of the pieces, he talks about the setting of Pagalbasti, while in another he writes about how his work Chuli came about. There is also a chapter in which the writer remembers how he learned Nepali and another one where he remembers playwrights like Badal Sircar and Dhuswa Sayami, both of whom have influenced his writing.
The book is priced at Rs 350 and is available in most books stores around the city.
