The play, which has already been staged in different VDCs of Khotang since March 15, is a part of the Safer Migration Project (SaMi), a Helvetas Nepal’s initiative.

The play revolves around the story of a young man who goes to work in the Gulf with the dreams of earning a lot of money, but without proper training. Forced to work under inhuman conditions, he falls sick and dies. A month later, his body arrives in a coffin, dashing the dreams of his family, of which he was the sole breadwinner.
The VDCs which have already seen the staging of the play include Houchaur, Jalpa, Makpa, Aishelukharka, Jyamire, Maheshwori and Jaleshwori, among others. Shilpee Theatre, Kathmandu, has played a key role in training the actors for the performances.
The organisers plan to continue staging the play in other VDCs of the district.
