Albatross to perform hibernation gig
Albatross are all set to perform live today at The Sports Bar, Jhamsikhel, at 6 pm.After breaking into the Nepali music scene in 1999, Albatross have enjoyed much acclaim for their bold and captivating stage presence and powerful lyrics that reflect the social and political condition of the country. In fact, the name Albatross is now synonymous with concerts and live performances in the Capital.
The band’s performance today is going to be one of their final gigs as they plan to take a short break soon after, since the lead vocalist of the band, Sirish Dali, is all set to go to the US to be with his family for some time. According to a source, the hiatus won’t last long as Dali plans to come back to the fold as soon as possible. Meanwhile, the band members plan to keep themselves occupied with other assignments, like composing songs and making music, and they plan to come up with a surprise for the audience after the hiatus is over.
