Artworks at ‘Small Wonders Great Devotion’ range from Paubha paintings to silver repoussé.Post Report
‘Small Wonders Great Devotion’ is a miniature art exhibition featuring six artists, happening at the Purna Museum of Newa Art from today.
Altogether, the exhibition will showcase 117 pieces of artwork, ranging from multidisciplinary art forms such as Paubha painting to silver repoussé. The exhibition is curated to celebrate the deities of Hinduism and Buddhism together.
The organiser of the exhibition, Siddhartha Shakya, says, “With 24 artists featured, most of the artworks in ‘Small Wonders, Great Devotion’ come from the collection of Anjana and the late Purna Man Shakya.”
Featuring a few paintings from the 1990s, the exhibition aims to preserve and honour the miniature paintings and sculptures of several artists.
Viewers interested in exploring culture through craftsmanship are encouraged to visit the exhibition.
