Ekta Books, Thapathali, is hosting its annual Valentine’s Week Bookstore Date from today to February 13. It is centred around a free-entry bookish scavenger hunt with a bingo twist, alongside a curated line-up of literary and cultural events.
Running daily from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, the scavenger hunt invites participants to explore the bookstore at their own pace by completing light-hearted, book-themed challenges. The activity encourages discovery across genres and shelves, offering a relaxed way to engage with books and win rewards and special discounts by completing the tasks/games.
In addition to the daily scavenger hunt, Ekta Books has scheduled other highlights throughout the week. The first highlight opens today with ‘A Shared Love for Nepali Literature,’ a conversation with author Amar Neupane, moderated by Ken Subedi, director of Shangri-la Sambad, beginning at 2:00 pm.
On February 9, ‘Bhawana ka Kuraharu’ with My Emotions Matter will take place from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm. It is an interactive session focused on emotions, self-reflection, and meaningful conversations.
A movie screening is scheduled for February 11 at Ektafe Brew Manor, a café located inside Ekta Books Thapathali premises. Two shows will be held at 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm.
The week concludes on February 13 with a Valentine’s Special Doodle Booth, featuring live sketches by artists Alina and Kalami. Running from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm at Ekta Books, the booth will offer personalised doodles for visitors.
