‘In-Between’, a solo art exhibition by Chinese multidisciplinary artist Chenxi Xu, is taking place at Gallery Mcube, Chakupat, Lalitpur, from January 23, 2026.

This initiative is presented as a part of the AIR MCUBE International Artists Residency Program. Curated by Manish Lal Shrestha, the exhibit will be followed by a live performance by Chenxi herself.

During the artist residency programme, Chenxi used uncertainty and a strong urge to take risks to push herself to paint. Her perceived chaos acted as a big source of faith and inspiration for creating these paintings.

“It is like an abstract painting, suggesting countless concrete forms while remaining suspended at the edge of clarity,” Xu says.

In ‘In-between’, each painting reflects the artist’s constant journey of evolving.

Entry tickets for this exhibition are free. Art connoisseurs who value the final output as much as the work and emotions that are attached to it are welcome.
