The event explores South Asian cultural folklore through Sufi folk music and Ghazals.Post Report
A Sufi Musical Group led by Mir Rajak Ali from Bikaner, Rajasthan, India, will perform at Shilpee Theatre Nepal, Battisputali, Kathmandu, on January 10, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
This is an initiative of Chautal Events and Travel Nextdoor to create a cross-cultural collaboration across Southern Asia, providing spatial recognition to oral traditions.
This immersive acoustic event explores the cultural folklore of South Asia through Sufi folk, Kabir and Nirgun Bhajans, Qawwali, and Ghazals. “As we find a lot of cultural similarities between us, we wanted to create an engaging space to exchange the folk tradition,” says Jason Shah from Travel Nextdoor.
Rhythm of Rajasthan explores the Spiritual and Nirgun philosophy through Sufi music, where songs, stories, and oral traditions from Rajasthan meet Kathmandu.
Entry tickets for the event range from Rs800 to Rs12,000, allowing audiences to experience music, spirituality, and cultural storytelling in a theatre setting.
